FINESTFOG high-pressure humidifiers have many compelling advantages compared with conventional humidifiers.
- Energy savings. Comparison of energy consumption for humidifier systems with throughput of 200 litres/hour:
- Steam humidifiers that heat water to produce steam: approx 178 kW
- Compressed-air humidifiers that use air pressure to atomize water droplets: approx 10.5 kW
- Finestfog high-pressure humidifiers: approx. 0.75 kW - So quiet as to be almost noiseless (can be used in areas where comfort and low noise levels are high priority)
- No fans (in contrast to conventional high-pressure humidifiers). This saves electricity, cuts out wear and eliminates a major source of noise and drafts
- Outstanding price/performance ratio - the bigger the system, the better the ratio
- Excellent hygiene - no standing water supply, no open tanks, etc.
- Hygiene certificate
- Finestfog humidifiers comply with VDI 6022 hygiene standards for air conditioning equipment
- CE marking and VDE tested

Control unit
We put a high priority on reliable, high-quality control systems.
This means we use only components from recognized manufacturers and housings made of stainless steel.
We offer three versions of our control system to suit different applications:
Economy - controls one zone, digital display of relative humidity, timer for automatic safety humidification.
Standard - for all demanding humidification projects, illuminated digital control panel displaying all operating parameters, timer for safety humidification and timer-controller operation.
Premium - for multiple areas or zones, illuminated display, frequency converter (controls pump speed), timer-controlled operation, operating-time meter with service schedule, safety humidification, safety cut-out for burst pipe on every zone. This control unit delivers unsurpassed safety and reliability.
Pump
The high-pressure pump generates a uniform pressure of around 80 bar. It supplies pressurized water to the different humidification zones via magnetic valves. Available pump ratings range from 50 to 600 litres/hour. FINESTFOG high-pressure pumps are rugged piston pumps, watertight up to 170 bar.

Single-medium nozzle
The key components in a FINESTFOG high-pressure system are the single-medium nozzles. Made of stainless steel to a proprietary design, they are manufactured exclusively for FINESTFOG. They can be identified by the FINESTFOG name engraved on each nozzle.
The unique nozzle inserts, with a special bore hole, are hand finished to ensure the unique atomization profile. The water is atomized to produce very fine aerosols capable of being rapidly taken up by the air. A check spring reliably prevents water dripping.
FINESTFOG nozzles operate almost soundlessly, making them ideal for use in offices and living areas.
FINESTFOG nozzles are available in four sizes:
| Model | Bore diameter | Humidification: litres / hour. |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 | 100 µm |
1,5 |
| 1.5 | 150 µm | 3,2 |
| 2.0 | 200 µm | 5,4 |
| 2.5 | 250 µm | 7,5 |
Nozzle 1.0 is used chiefly in areas with low ceilings or in relatively small rooms. Model 1.5 can be used in areas with almost any dimensions. Models 2.0 and 2.5 with their very high throughput are ideal for integration in air conditioning systems serving whole buildings or facilities.
FINESTFOG nozzles deliver such fine aerosols that they need neither fans nor compressed-air to do an outstanding job. The nozzles can be screwed directly into an unobtrusive, ¼-inch stainless steel pipe. For an even more flexible system, the nozzles can be connected to a joint that is free to rotate (see photo).
The water pipes can be mounted on walls, under the ceiling, on cable conduits, on rafters, girders or double T-beams. The same simple installation options are also used in humidity chambers.
FINESTFOG nozzles are not only almost noiseless, they are also almost invisible. They fit in easily with any space planning.
